Bladehound is the brainchild of Irish musician and writer, David Jordan. Based in Cork, in the south of Ireland, Jordan has been playing in bands and writing for many years. You can check out his fiction here.

Bladehound is inspired by classic 80s and 90s metal. Iron Maiden, Metallica and Alice in Chains are just three giants that have had a major impact on the band. The English doom metal scene of the early 90s is also a fountain head of inspiration. Paradise Lost, My Dying Bride, Anathema and Cathedral are all influences.

Bladehound’s ethos is simple: melodies and chord progressions should open doors and take you to places you’ve never been before, without losing touch with their roots.
